medo, sincero e paralisante medo

"A chunk of Antarctic ice about the size of Manhattan suddenly collapsed in late March as a result of global warming. The Wilkins Ice Shelf, a 160 square-mile chunk located in western Antarctica, began to show signs of deterioration via satellite images on February 28. Scientists had thought that the Wilkins shelf would collapse about 15 years from now.
